So I love some movies.....LOVE LOVE LOVE!

One thing I noticed is some movies, especially ones from the 80's that were rated PG or PG 13 are pretty bad...like Stand By Me, I love this movie, grew up as one of my all time favs, but then I start listening to what they are saying and I was a little taken aback....I guess as a kid I just did not hear, realize what they are saying......

What do you think about this???

hmmm ... I think I've only seen "Stand By Me" once, and it was years ago, so I'm not sure what you mean.

coffeespit @ Mindy! The bunny with a pancake... HA!

I don't know about that particular movie... it's been a while since I saw it. But everytime I watch an old movie I always remember it being different.

Jaws and The Blob and Gremlins looked so real when I was younger. Now it just seems kind of silly.
But there are times where I thought to myself, I never noticed all that sexual tension between those two before. Or I didn't remember that being said.

I think as young people with no experience in "what's real", it's easy to overlook subtle things than as an adult who knows how powerful words can be.
The saying goes... you can't unsee something. That's why parents try hard to monitor what your children are exposed to. No one can unsee or unhear or unexperience things.
